The headline looks great as Lake Chad returned at 55 BSP at Thurles yesterday but I was kicking myself for being too aggressive when removing losing systems as we missed a 215 BSP system winner in the opener at Thurles yesterday from the previously losing 2m Chase Sire angle which I had disabled on Wednesday along with a bunch of others. To be honest, this system was not losing that much and these things happen. These systems are all still in their infancy with just over a season of live data. I have since re-analysed it, re-filtered and it’s back in. It was also galling to see the 20/1 advised River Wharf touched off by a neck in the last race on Thursday but I am still happy with the way the ratings are going and the systems I am sure will start to pick up more decent-priced winners.
Friday’s ratings and systems can be downloaded at the bottom of this post.
Highest Ranked Runners
Lingfield 1:02 ETRETAT 5/2 WIN
Solid form here and consistent.
Lingfield 3:02 TADREEB 3/1 WIN
Highest rated runner of the day and the trainer/jockey combo have a near 30% strike-rate here and he is a multiple CD winner.
Bangor 3:15 FEEL THE PINCH 14/1 EW & SERIOUS EGO 28/1 EW
It’s rare to get a 1st and 2nd rated at these kind of prices so I’ll back them both e/w
High-Rated System Qualifiers
Bangor 1:42 GOLD CLARMONT 16/1 EW
In reality Micks Jet should win here and is worth a cover bet but the selection looks overpriced hitting a HC Chase jockey angle and Bowen has a good record at the track.
Bangor 2:12 ROCKINASTORM 11/2 WIN & VALLERES 20/1 EW
Clear on the ratings, ahead of another system qualifier Valleres and hits a 3m+ Chase Damsire angle. Valleres has the slightly stronger system with the 3m+ Chase Damsire angle and is worth an e/w
Southwell 8:15 KODEBREAKER 12/1 EW
Only 1pt behind the top-rated Balqaa and 1 ahead of likely favourite Boujee Gold but hits a profitable Southwell damsire angle.
The ratings looking good Dave !
